Data Science and Informatics Club

Data Science and Informatics Club (DSI) is a student community for anything data related. Through workshops, general board meetings (GBM), club collaborations, career fairs, research projects, socials, and our Spring Symposium, DSI has created many opportunities for students to become involved with data.

One of DSI’s main goals is to prepare students for technical jobs. By attending our resume and interview workshops, students will be ready for the UF Career Fair which features a number of top companies. Here students will have the opportunity to interview for internships, Co‐Ops, or full‐time jobs. To learn the technical skills required for these roles, students may attend our many workshop series using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Excel. These workshops provide students with well‐rounded data knowledge that any company would be happy to see on a resume.

GatorAI Club

GatorAI is a student-led community focused on making artificial intelligence accessible, collaborative, and hands-on for all students—no matter their experience level. Through workshops, speaker events, AI projects, hackathons, GBMs, and socials, we offer opportunities to explore and apply AI in real-world contexts.

Our goal is to help students break into the AI and tech industry. We host resume and interview prep sessions to get members ready for recruiting events like the UF Career Fair. To build their technical foundation, members can attend workshops on machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, and tools like Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch—then apply these skills through hands-on projects that solve real-world problems.

We also invite guest speakers from top companies and startups to share industry insights and career advice. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to level up, GatorAI is the place to grow, build, and connect with a passionate AI community.
